Boycott

All civilized nations should boycott the 2022 Olympics if held in the Peoples Republic of China.

The first of the fundamental principles in the International Olympic Committee Charter reads as follows:

Olympism is a philosophy of life, exalting and combining in a balanced whole the qualities of body, will and mind. Blending sport with culture and education, Olympism seeks to create a way of life based on the joy of effort, the educational value of good example, social responsibility and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.

The government of the People’s Republic of China does not abide by this philosophy of Olympism and therefore should not be honored with the privilege of hosting the 2020 Winter Olympics.
As their many violations of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) clearly indicates (see Articles 2, 3, 5, 9, 12, 18, and 19,) the Chinese Communist Party controlled People’s Republic of China has no respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.

After traveling abroad for training to make himself a better player, one well-known soccer star, Erfan Hezim, was sent to a concentration camp in his native Eastern Turkestan / Xinjiang. His crime was that he traveled outside of China; the Chinese government had no regard for his ‘joy of effort’ in working to better his participation in athletic endeavors. And Erfan Hezim was not the only athlete cut off from his family, Erpat Ablekrem, a 25-year-old professional soccer player has also disappeared.

The Chinese government’s draconian enforcement of regulations and genocidal policies are anathema to the spirit of the Olympics and will bring shame on every National Olympic Committee and Olympian participating in any Olympic function held in the People’s Republic of China.
